A few years ago, I found a stack of photos at a flea market. They turned out to be photos taken from films in the 60's and 70's, the type of photos which hung outside the movie theaters to inspire people to come and see the films. For a long period of time I have created a dialogue with these pictures and made my own small physical 'assaults' or visual impressions directly on the photos' surface.The collages are made of old film photos, embroidery yarn, tulle and drawing film. All pictures are 30x40 cm. |
